Kiss cutting can be accomplished by either laser, rotary or flatbed presses.

  • Kiss cutting comes from the process term…where a sheet or roll of laminated material (i.e. EPDM rubber, Adhesive, removable paper, etc.) is sent through the cutting process. The sharp blade or laser beam cuts all the way through the part materials, but only touches or ‘kisses’ the removable liner.
  • Kiss cutting leaves your finished part on a removable liner (i.e. paper, etc.). The part stays on liner ready to be peeled off and used. Parts can be provided on rolls or in sheet form, with or without the web removed. Kiss cutting is great for part handling and production lines. Also, it makes inventory organization and logistics more manageable.
  • Kiss cutting is an excellent method to supply parts when they need to be provided in sets. Kiss cutting is the most cost-effective method to supply larger volume part orders.
